With holiday parties on the horizon I wanted to branch out from my usual holiday attire which normally consists of nice denim or stilt black pants with a festive top. Velvet is all the rage right now and what better way to embrace it than during the holiday season! I love this crushed velvet button down from Anthropologie. My color is sold out but the burnt orange and ivory completely works too. It is so comfortable and a bit oversized (I am wearing a M) which is perfect for tucking into a pair of leather pants that I am wearing from HUE. Their line of leather leggings are comfortable and have the perfect price point.

I find myself in the city a lot during the holidays whether it be for a luncheon, tea, dinner or a show.

When downtown I love to walk around but it is not always easy if you are dressed up and in pair of heels. I love this skirt and sneaker combo that allows me to be dressed yet comfortable. I really try not to buy jewelry that will only work with one look. I love being able to mix and match my pieces and have them work for day or night.
