The Wrap Dress
Whenever I think of a wrap dress, Diane Von Furtsenberg of course comes to mind! Creating the dress back in 1974, the wrap concept has played a huge style role for generations of women. Flattering, versatile, packable, and easily wearable it should be a must in every women’s closet.
One of my favorite things about the wrap dress is its versatility. It is no secret that I love items I can wear a few different ways! That very much applies to the wrap dress, especially in a shirt dress style version. Besides having the flexibility to change it up in your own closet, it is also the perfect piece to pack for creating multiple looks on a vacation.
The wrap dress I am wearing in today’s post is from last year but I found it in stock and on sale here. What is particularly nice about this dress is that the fabric is part of the Tencel fabric collection. Tencel or lyocell is a sustainable fabric, regenerated from wood cellulose making it one of the most environmentally friendly fabrics you can buy. It is also shrink and wrinkle resistant, breathable, soft, lightweight, and easy to pack. Another added plus for making it a go-to travel companion!
For the entire collection of Tencel clothing from this line head here. Neiman Marcus also has some really great pieces on sale here. I have also linked a very similar wrap dress from Free People in the widget below as well!
Look 1
A wrap dress is of course perfect on its own! Very little thought has to go into it! Pair it with your favorite summer accessories and you are ready to walk out the door! For a little extra edge, throw in a trendy accessory like these acrylic bangles!
Look 2
Never one to shy away from a layered look, I love a wrap dress with a chambray shirt or fitted tee underneath! Chestnut neutrals plays well into this color scheme.
Look 3
Finally, I love the idea of opening up a wrap dress and wearing it over summer basics such as denim shorts and a white tank!
