This series always takes a back seat during the holiday season in the months of November and December! I am excited to start it off again this month!
1.Bellemore.
If you live in Chicago or will be visiting Chicago, you must get here! Honestly, the most beautiful space and delicious food I have EVER had! Since opening in November 2017, Bellemore has been awarded the number one spot on Robb Report’s ‘Best New Restaurants in America’, as well as head chef, Jimmy Papadopoulos being named as Robb Report’s 2018 ‘Best Young Chefs’ in the country. I am not one to like fancy presentations and small plates-just feed me please-yet this restaurant holds the exception to the rule! I have never left a dinner at a restaurant feeling more satisfied or satiated! And when you go, make sure to order an extra round of the Hawaiian rolls with house cultured butter!
2.Chantilly Lace.
I know Nordstrom is a popular favorite for bra selection and fitting but personally, I am underwhelmed with both at my local Nordstrom. Seeking out something better, a great local women’s Facebook group I belong to highly recommended Chantilly Lace for bras. Located in Plaza del Lago in Wilmette, this is what a great lingerie boutique is made of (yet hard to come by nowadays)! A knowledgeable team and an incredible selection of product, I guarantee you will find the best fitting bra. Yes they will carry some of the brands you love but they also have a deep international selection of bras as well, ranging from petite to plus! Besides bras you will find sleepwear, swimwear, shapewear. etc. It is a local must!
3.The Collection.
January: The time where we all seek out “What to Watch” recommendations! I found this series on Amazon Prime when trying to deviate from my normal dark drama selections! Set in a post-world war II Paris fashion house, this series exposes the discord behind the glamour of a rising business lead by two brothers. Beautifully shot and executed it deserves more press than it is getting!
4. Healthier BBQ Pork Sliders.
In need of some some recipe inspiration for Super Bowl Sunday? I made these last weekend for my family and they did not disappoint!
5. Golden Goose Sneakers.
When I first came across the popularity of these sneakers last year, I thought people were nuts to buy them. After all, they come with an expensive price tag. Yet coming to realize I wear sneakers practically every day, I thought it might be worth it to invest in a nicer pair! Sneakers are the first thing I add to a suitcase when traveling (well actually I wear them on the airplane!) and are the most versatile shoe I own. Joggers, jeans and dresses- they go with everything. And owning a pair of Golden Goose elevates your style that much more. To find them (and sometimes for less) these are the retailers you can trust purchasing them from:
