No other day defines summer quite like the 4th of July! Parades, barbecues, fireworks and all things decked out in red, white and blue. These things and this day are often what establishes are happiest moments and memories of summer.
Through the years, how our family spends the holiday has pretty much stayed the same. Some years we talk about doing something a bit different but in reality, we love that our 4th of July routine has turned into a yearly tradition.
Our day is jammed pack from the moment we wake up to the moment we go to bed. We start the day by riding our bikes to the 4th of July Parade in the next town over. It is not the most glamorous parade but the kids make us want to go each year! Following the parade, we make our way over to a backyard BBQ at our family friends, complete with waterslides, mortars going off and corn hole toss matches. We wrap up the day by heading over to our town’s outdoor concert and firework display with picnic in hand!
Of course with the busy day must come all the red, white and blue fashion! I love surfing the internet and stores for the latest patriotic, 4th of July finds! By the time the day is done on my end, I have changed outfits a few different times! I therefore have my eye on several things to wear this 4th of July and I am sharing all of my favorites below!
