I just returned from NY (bringing more on that to the blog soon!) and was so excited to see athleisure all over the stores. From Zara to Tommy Hilfiger to Banana Republic, athleisure is still on major trend! Yet this time around, it is on a whole new level! Incorporating athleisure in our day to day fashion took over the retail world a couple of years back. Now though, athleisure is transcending into dressier looks. While it took me awhile to get on the initial athleisure bandwagon (more on that here), I am all over integrating athleisure wear into times I need to be dressed for an occasion.

Who else is with me that they love the idea and process of getting dressed up but once ready, all they can think about it getting into their pajamas? All I want is to be comfortable all the time. With the holidays approaching, finding pieces that are both dressy and comfortable is key. That is why these pants are the perfect marriage of both!
How To Dress Up Athleisure:
I recently came across them at Olivia Palermo’s collection for Banana Republic. Between the color, style and comfort, I knew I could make them go far this holiday season. Once I put them on though, I was ecstatic with the look and fit. Beyond comfortable and incredibly flattering, I love the idea of these styled with white boots and a fitted top. Thanksgiving outfit done! For an even dressier look, pair these pants with a black lace camisole and black cape! Holiday outfit done! For a dressy casual look, wear these pants with a plaid or velvet button down and suede pumps.
Truth be told, I probably would not have walked into Banana Republic if it were not for Olivia Palermo’s line. Banana Republic served me well in my corporate work days, but I have not spent too much time shopping there since! I do not know if it is because of her line in the stores or other brand collaborations, but Banana Republic has seriously stepped up their fashion game! While the Olivia Palermo collaboration, takes center stage, Banana Republic has also teamed up with other big name labels. AG denim, Elizabeth Cole jewelry and Cosabella lingere to name a few. Make sure to stop in one of their stores soon! In the meantime, I am featuring some of my favorite pieces on the widget below:
