I mentioned in the first beauty post I ever put up on the blog that the beauty industry often overwhelms me. And in large part, it still does. There are SO many products and treatments out there. And trying to navigate it all can be tricky to say the least. Yet, I try to take a step back and focus on what my beauty needs are at this stage of the game and take it from there.
In my teens and 20’s it was all about make-up for going out, lathering on oil for the sun and never worrying about going to bed without washing your face. Fast forward to now, and I’m too lazy to put on make-up, I see years of built up sun damage, and fine lines are creeping up everywhere. I am not willing to take large measures to fix my mistakes from the past. Yet I want my skin to be at a place where some areas can be reversed. A place where I can always feel good about walking out with “naked” skin.
I want to start up my “Self-Care Sunday” beauty series on the blog but with a little more purpose than before. I would like the series to center on what women in their 30’s and 40’s are needing and looking for when it comes to their overall skincare. What are the issues we face? What are the solutions we need? Do we need to take medical measures? Can we get to a place where we are comfortable in our own skin like the French women?
Beauty Survey
I put together a survey that I hope you will take a minute or two to fill out. It is only ten questions most of them multiple choice. From there, I want to provide answers and recommendations for us as we navigate the world of beauty at this stage in our life!
