The month of February had me counting down the days to warmer weather. We saw a little bit of everything this month in terms of weather in Chicago. Thankfully though, the last few days of February brought on milder temps with a hint of spring in the air. Although I am sure we have not seen the last of our snowfall around here, the countdown to June spring is on!
A nearer reality in our household though is spring break. Lucky for us, that is happening in just a few short weeks! As such, I have been gathering some items to take with us to the Big Island of Hawaii! February’s five favorites are giving you a peak into my spring break suitcase! Five Spring Break Favorites
Protect With :
Urban Outfitter’s Panama Hat. The older I get, the more important hats become for me! I love spending time outside but of course need to shield my face from the sunshine. On a recent trip to Urban Outfitters with my daughter, I fell upon this hat. It was an instant love at first sight! It is comfortable, packable and breathable. I will be living in it all of spring break!
Stay on Trend With:
Lovina Straw Crossbody Bag. Major bag trend alert for this summer will be anything straw or wicker. Yet what I love about this bag is that even after the trend ceases, it really is a timeless piece. A crossbody style is a must for me in an everyday bag and I love the circle shape. Available in three colors with the ivory being to die for!
Go Graphic With:
Beach Scene V-Neck Graphic Tee. I am a theme geek and that absolutely transcends into what I wear. I love this beach scene graphic tee for spring break! It will be so fun to wear with a straw hat and denim shorts.
Pull On:
Madewell’s shorts. The perfect blend of a an athletic short and a casual everyday short. These even come with pockets! A great alternative to your denim cutoffs!
Indulge Your Hair With:
Kristen Esse Hair Mask. Her line is SO good. This hair mask has worked magic on my hair this winter. It manages to deeply moisturize my hair but leave it feeling weightless and shiny all at once. I use her everyday conditioner now too which is just as good. Both are perfect for post-sun and salt water while on vaycay!
