I am a big fan of investing in good basics!
We might question why we sometimes spend upward of $50 for a t-shirt but if it is an item you often wear and feels good to put on, I think it is one of the best investments you can make for your wardrobe! One of my favorite parts of summer is being able to pull out my summer white basics. I live in them all summer long and I can never have too many options in my closet. I will spend anywhere from $5 at Old Navy for a tank to $50 for a Splendid basic (still one of the best lines on the market) to $100 for a tee that feels like I am putting on pajamas. White keeps us cool on hot summer days and nothing makes us feel better than putting on white when we have our golden summer glow.
The Best White T-Shirts for Women
A white t-shirt is so versatile and goes with everything! They are also the easiest item to care for. If they get dingy or dirty, a good soak in Oxy-Clean or a wash in bleach can whip them back in shape. Also, to prevent little holes from forming at the bottom of your tee, (do you know I used to think I had a moth problem in my closet and this is why my shirts had holes in them!? Swear to goodness!!!) I simply tuck the front part of my tee in or layer a white cami underneath to prevent the rubbing against my button. Game changer for keeping them in great shape!
Today on the blog I am sharing some of my favorite whites of this season from my go-to women’s boutique, Alixandra Collections. I picked the hottest day of the summer so far to shoot this post and I did not even attempt to style my hair! I put my hair in a high pony tail, added some fun accessories and grabbed my sunnies. There are three different looks that show you can be comfortable and cool in summer while still looking put together.
