This month’s “Series: Five Favorites | March 2017” of my five favorite finds definitely has summer on the mind! Most of these picks were inspired by spring break vacation preparation. And with summer around the corner, these are great items to have on hand!
Series: Five Favorites | March 2017
Beauty Treat:
Ouai Wave Spray. I love Ouai’s line of shampoo and conditioner so I was willing to try this product. Truthfully, I was a little doubtful to their claim that this product gives your hair that “just got out of the ocean and my hair dried perfectly” look. Well, it does! It REALLY does! With summer approaching, it is great product to use especially on the days when you want to air dry your hair. Ouai’s entire line of products are free of animal testing and parabens.
Protect:
Mott 50. Protect your skin skin from the sun with this top that has built in UPF 50 protection. I love that it has a looser feel and a full length zipper that provides a little more breathing room than a traditional, more form fitting sun protection shirt. Entire line available on their website and at Nordstrom’s.
Explore:
Need Supply. I first stumbled upon this on-line retailer when they were the only retailer that had my beloved summer bag available (still sold out). I now visit their website daily as I love the clean format of their site. And the unique products and interesting lines that they carry. Top shown available here.
For Fun:
Palm Print Beach Towel: This towel has plenty of Beverly Hills Hotel vibes with the iconic pink background and palm tree leaves! Designed by the best friend duo formerly at denim line Current/Elliot, this towel was designed exclusively for Pottery Barn Teen by their Emily + Merritt line. They have plenty of other palm print loving items as well which I have linked in the widget below:
Cook:
The Sprouted Kitchen Bowl and Spoon: Simple and Inspired Whole Foods Recipes to Savor and Share. In an effort to get myself swimwear ready, I worked hard at clean eating this past month! To help with this, I turned toward the building a bowl approach to food. I combined my favorite grain (pearled cous-cous), protein (chicken or scrambled eggs), legumes (black beans), greens (arugula), vegetables (peppers), with a topping (avocado and chia seas) and instantly had a satisfying meal in a pretty white bowl. This cookbook offers plenty of other bowl building inspiration for a morning breakfast, as a side, as a meal and even for satisfying a sweet tooth!
Thanks for stopping by!
